The Hopper from RnD Automation is a robust, pyramidal-shaped container designed for industrial storage and controlled dispensing of particulate materials, including dust, gravel, nuts, seeds, and even small metal or plastic components. Constructed primarily from steel, this hopper is ideal for both manual and automated material handling in a variety of industries.
With a typical bottom opening of approximately 30 x 30 cm, the hopper allows for efficient release of stored material. Its rectangular cross-section and 60° sloped sides facilitate a smooth flow of contents. For dust collection, material is introduced from devices like baghouses, where compressed air dislodges dust, or electrostatic precipitators that knock particles free. The collected dust then falls into the hopper, which can be grouped to increase capacity for larger-scale operations.
RnD Automation’s hopper systems serve numerous industries, including food manufacturing for items like flour, sugar, and nuts, livestock feed, and mineral refining. When paired with air pollution control systems, such as dust collectors, baghouses, and fabric filters, the hopper is essential for efficient dust collection and management. Conveyors can be integrated to transport the dispensed materials seamlessly, further enhancing the hopper's utility in bulk material handling.
